There is evidence of light wear and handling along the edges including hairline craquelure at the pull margins with minor and unobtrusive pinpoint spots of loss. The canvas is slightly loose on its stretcher and surface is slightly soiled. Under close inspection, there is a diagonal brown abrasion visible just above the figure’s head, a diagonal brown abrasion across the ‘A’ and ‘M’ of ‘AMERICA’ just right of center, a diagonal abrasion in the lower center margin and a spot of horiztonal hairline craquelure approximately 2-inches from the top and 3-inches from the left edge. Under Ultraviolet light inspection there is no evidence of restoration. Framed.

Catalogue Note

"I just paint things I always thought were beautiful, things you use every day and never think about. I’m working on soups and I’ve been doing some paintings of money. I just do it because I like it."
