Condition
This work is in very good condition overall. All of the metal and wire elements are accounted for and secure. The media layer is stable overall, and the colors are vibrant. A light layer of soiling is present on the wire elements, which is consistent with the age of the work. The wood panel presents an aged surface. Under raking light inspection, faint spots of foxing become apparent throughout the white back-panel, and a few isolated faint surface scratches become apparent on the white panel. Faint handling marks are present at the extreme edges of the white back panel. A two-inch band of grey accretion is present along the lowermost outward edge of the panel. A few scattered pinpoint spots of white accretion are present on the striped circle, which do not interfere with the visual effect of the stripes.
