Condition
This work is in good and sound condition overall. The colors are vibrant, the media layer is stable, and all of the metal and wire elements are secure and accounted for. The wires and back panel present an aged surface overall which is consistent with the date of the work. Under raking light inspection, two isolated areas of fine horizontal lines of hairline craquelure become apparent in the back panel: in the upper left quadrant, and in the center left quadrant. However, the paint layer is stable overall. Also under raking light inspection, accretions become apparent throughout. In the lower right quadrant, a faint brown vertical scuff also becomes apparent one inch from the edge of the panel. The work is ready to hang.
