Condition

This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of light wear and handling along the edges, including light surface soiling most notably along the top edge, and evidence of hairline craquelure at the pull margins. There are extremely minor white pinpoint media accretions scattered throughout the green painted area. Under Ultraviolet light, several areas fluoresce darkly in the center of the six and in the upper right and lower left corners and the lower right corner fluoresces brightly, all of which appear to have benefitted from restoration. Framed under glass.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective qualified opinion.
