Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. There is slight undulation to the sheet, inherent to the artist’s working method. Under extremely close inspection, a pinpoint minor surface accretion is visible in the upper left corner. The colors are bright, fresh and clean. The sheet is hinged verso to the mat intermittently along the edges. Framed under Plexiglas.

Catalogue Note

"...Almost every work of art is an analogy. When I make a representation of  something, this too is an analogy to what exists; I make an effort to get a  grip on the thing by depicting it. I prefer to steer clear of anything aesthetic,  so as not to set obstacles in my own way..." Gerhard Richter
