Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. There is a slight undulation to the sheet, inherent to the artist’s working method and chosen medium. There are pinprick holes visible in the upper right corner likely from previous stapling. The areas of oil staining are inherent to the artist’s chosen medium. The sheet is stapled intermittently along the edges to the mat. Framed.

Catalogue Note

"The perception of drawing involves a means of perception – namely the properties used. How they're used is one of the means of perception as well as one of the modes of perception as you're working. Lately, I've been using paintstick. Anything you can project as expressive in terms of drawing – ideas, metaphors, emotions, language structures –  results from the act of doing. But the meaning of drawing is meaningless to these other meanings."
