Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. There is evidence of handling along the edges of the canvas inclcuding some light surface soiling and a light abrasion just left of center along the top edge. The edges of the canvas have been taped and painted. A pinpoint light brown drip accretion is visible in the upper right quadrant. Under raking light, faint diagonal hairline cracks are visible in the upper of white-painted area, some local minor hairline cracks are visible in the brown and black painted areas and a faint horizontal stretcher bar impression is visible along the bottom edge. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, several minor drip accretions fluoresce lightly throughout, most noticeable in the upper center and along the bottom edge. Also under Ultraviolet light inspection, a thumbprint-sized spot in the upper right quadrant, an approximately-five inch horizontal band from the lower left corner and a thin single drip beginning in the brown band extending down to the bottom edge just right of center fluoresces. Unframed.
