The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although there are fewer magenta undertones and the overall tonality is slightly warmer in the original.
This work is in very good condition. The sheet is hinged verso to the backing mount on the upper two corners. There are artist's pinholes to all four corners. Very close inspection reveals a minute speck of media accretion towards the upper left corner. There are some displaced charcoal particles to the white borders, which is in keeping with the artist's working process. Visible only when examined out of its frame is evidence of handling and a few minute nicks to the edges, all of which are original and in keeping with the artist's working process.
