Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly brighter in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Extremely close inspection reveals some very fine tension cracks to the extreme overturn edges and some extremely fine and unobtrusive drying craquelure to the areas of thick impasto. Very close inspection reveals some small spots of paint flaking in places, most notably to the orange pigment to the left of the composition, and a few minute losses to the impasto peaks. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
