Overall the condition of the bronze is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a few minor nicks and scratches to the bronze, including to the top of the dolphin's head and to the high points around the eyes. There is some white fill visible to the underside of the bronze. There is minor red-ish residue to the proper left eye, which may be wax. The marble base is in good condition, with minor chips and abrasions to the edges and corners.
