Catalogue Note

The name Thomas Wilson appears several times in Gillows' Lancaster Apprentice Rolls from 1730-1850, although they were all craftsmen working in the 18th century. It is conceivable the Thomas Wilson responsible for the present lot was a descent with a long family association to the Lancastrian firm[1].
