with single drawer above a door opening to reveal a later marble shelf, stamped twice JME and with remnants of an illegible stamp

Condition

In overall good restored condition. Leather writing surface with significant old marks and scratches, consistent with age and use. Veneer with minor chips, losses and marks throughout. Each side with visible horizontal cracks, which have been restored. Front and back with visible horizontal cracks. Gilt-bronze mounts slightly tarnished. Decorative and practical.
