Description

  • 81cm. high, 152.5cm. wide, 76cm. deep; 2ft. 8in., 5ft., 2ft. 6in.
with an associated giallo antico marble top

Condition

An imposing and well carved table in reasoable restored condition possibly incorporating earlier elements. The surface has been stripped, and was originally painted or gilt with evidence of former surface in areas of carved detail. Replacements to ancathus clasps and Vitruvian scroll to frieze. Filler, restorations and minor chips and losses to carving. Screw repair to one foot. Back rail and strengthening baton/stretcher to frame probaly later alterations. Generally marble top and base with minor old marks and scrathes consitent with age and use.
