Description

  • tray 68cm., 26 3/4 in. over handles
comprising: coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug and hot water jug, richly decorated in cast and applied scroll foliate teardrop shaped panels and straps, the pots with ivory insulators and figural terminals; the oblong tray with beaded rim, finely engraved foliate and diaper-work border with intermittent portrait heads, crested, undersides stamped R&S Garrard Panton Street, London; together with an American silver tea strainer, early 20th century, stamped 'STERLING', acorn and oak leaf border, turned wood handle 

Condition

Good clear marks to each underside. The tea service of exceptionally good gauge. Hot mil jug cover loose due to absent pin. The sugar bowl and cream jug with original gilding. The tray of goog gauge. Fine scratches. Good condition. The strainer with crushed bowl, previous straightened. Otherwise good overall.
