Linke is arguably one of the best French late 19th century ebenistes producing models in historic styles and these cabinets seem very much in his manner this comparison is based upon a desk illustrated by Christopher Payne, Francois Linke 1855-1946, Woodbridge, 2003, p.36, with similar mounts, in vernis martin and also unsigned. Certainly the quality of the present cabinets suggest a maker of some standing.
These cabinets are superb quality. Marbles good, one possibly with old repair - well done and barely discernible. Minor rim chips. Bronzes good. One apron and return mount lifting slightly - easily secured. Painted panels with cracqulure and some small losses to varnish/paint.
