Condition

The board is stable. Examination under UV lights reveals a few small spots of retouching to the upper right corner and some additional minor spots of retouching to the lower left corner and along the extreme edges. There are some original nicks (approx. 1 cm long) at regular points along the extreme edges with associated minor scuffs and pigment losses. There are a few thin lines of stable craquellure in places, notably to the green pigment towards the lower part of the left edge. There is a small dent, possibly original, approx. 17 cm from left edge and 4 cm from lower edge. There are a few small minor scratches most predominately to the lower part of the composition and a few flecks of paint losses, probably original, most predominately to the sea. This work is in overall good condition.
