Description

  • H. (head) 5.5 cm, 2 1/4  in. ; (socle) 7.5 cm, 2 3/4  in.
one side carved with Christ, the other with a skull ; on a metal stand

Condition

With minor surface dirt and wear to the carving consistent with age and handling. The skull with the lower jaw missing, losses to the upper jaw and a small loss to his proper right eye socket. A few hairline fissures consistent with age and handling are visible in some places.
