Description

  • 120,5 x 47,5 x 47,5 cm ; 47 1/2 x 18 3/4 x 18 3/4 in.
painted in dark brown, with a trapezoid-shaped seat, decorated with carved flowers and ram heads, square base resting on four feet, with connected stretchers, purple upholstery

Condition

Overall in good condition. Both chairs have been re-upholstered. Painted at later date. Very minor chips and paint loss, some revealing the previous paint layer and slightly dry wood underneath. Scratches mostly concentrated along the edges, the corners and the bottom of the legs, consistent with age and handling. The first: one of the connectors slightly out of place, does not affect the overall stability. One of the metallic pad feet missing. Sound and in good condition. The latter: the back stretcher presents a seam separation and vertical cracks, not jeopardizing the stability of the chair. Traces of glue underneath the base. Stable connectors. Sound and in good condition.
