Probably Marshal Lyautey collection, 5 rue Bonaparte, Paris

Condition

Overall in very good condition with minor wear to the patina and surface dirt consistent with handling. There appear to be some casting flaws (or possibly a deliberate effect to imitate the losses on the antique bronze). There are a few chips and losses along the edges of the marble base.

The antique bronze now a days in the Museum of Rabat, was rediscovered in 1929, during the excavations of Volubilis conducted under the direction of Marshal Lyautay (1854-1934), first General resident of the French protectorate in Morocco.
