Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. There are the inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. There are some chips and rubbed areas to the gilding revealing the white gesso and the red bowl underneath, especially to the edges. As stated in the catalogue, the gilding is later. There are some wears, tears and stains to the tapestries with wax traces. The tapestries are later. Both constructions are firm and sound.
