  • 5.3 to 6.5 cm, 2 1/8  to 2 1/2  in.
comprising an agate silhouette bottle; an inside-painted glass 'bird and peony' bottle; an inside-painted 'horses' bottle, signed Tang Zichuan and dated renyin year (1902); and two cinnabar lacquer bottles

Provenance

Collection of Emil Hultmark (1872-1943), and thence by descent in the family.

Condition

The 'horses' bottle signed Tang Zichuan is in overall good condition. Stopper missing as visible on the photo. The agate silhouette bottle is generally in good condition. There is a small nick to the rim on the brown inclusion which is also lightly polished in the same place.‎ The metal stopper is somewhat worn as visible on the photo. The 'bird and peony' inside painted bottle is generally in good condition. There are symmetrical cutting marks ‎flanking the handles, probably original to the piece. The interior painting is a little soiled. The two lacquer bottles are generally in good condition, with expected surface wear and a few insignificant nicks or nibbling to the edges. Stoppers missing.
