  • 5 cm, 2 in.
carved in the form of a recumbent goose and its gosling tenderly grasping a spray of lotus in their beaks, their plumage defined with incisions, the pale celadon stone accented with russet veining

Provenance

Collection of Edward T. Chow (1910-1980), and thence by descent in the family.

Condition

The carving is in good overall condition with expected minor occasional nibbling along some edges. The actual colour is consistent with the illustration in the catalogue.
