Description

  • 30.7 by 32.2 by 23.3 cm, 12 1/8  by 12 5/8  by 9 1/8  in.
inlaid with various hardstones including mother-of-pearl, soapstone, lapis lazuli, malachite and agate, the front decorated with eight boys at play, between four bats amidst clouds and a gnarled branch issuing the Three Abundances, the cover embellished with two deer resting among pine trees and jagged rocks, the sides flanked by C-shaped handles, the interior set with five fitted drawers

Condition

The table cabinet is in overall good condition. Some small sections of the inlaids may be later replacement but overall these have been extremely well preserved. There are a couple of age cracks near the joints and occasional scratches to the surface.
