incised and painted on the interior with dragons striding among flower sprays in pursuit of flaming pearls, the exterior similarly decorated
Condition
The dish is in general good condition, with expected minor surface scratches and very light rubbing to the enamel consistent with age. There is an original firing crack (inverted V-shaped, approx. 2.8cm) to the exterior of the body of one dragon (not going through to the interior). There are minute kiln flakes to the footring.
