painted around the globular body with scholars and attendants in a landscape, all below cartouches of flower and bird against a diaper ground at the shoulder, Japanese box

Touhouan collection, Toyama.

Condition

The teapot appears to be in good condition. There are some expected firing imperfections including a small shrinkage in the glaze on the handle, firing cracks around the lutting line on the interior and some kiln grits to the interior. A few pinholes and iron spots in the glaze.
