Description

  • 14.5 cm, 5 3/4  in.
with shallow rounded sides rising to a flared and lobed rim, painted on the interior with a pair of stylised lingzhi-headed dragons amidst lingzhi scrolls, repeated around the cavetto and on the underside, the base inscribed with a six-character reign mark

Condition

There are two rim hairlines, one at 5 o'clock (approx. 1.8cm) and another at 11 o'clock (approx. 0.3cm). There are two minute flakes and other minute nicks to the rim, largest measuring 0.2cm wide. Otherwise the dish is in good condition, with expected light surface scratches and some pinholes to the base. The actual tone of blue is somewhat brighter and more cobalt, less purple compared to the catalogue illustration.
