Description

  • 39.5 cm, 15 1/2  in.
robustly potted with rounded sides rising from a short foot to an everted rim, the interior decorated with a ferocious five-clawed dragon amidst clouds, encircled by lotus sprays on the cavetto and crashing waves on the rim, applied with an olive-green glaze save for an unglazed ring on the base left in the biscuit and burnt orange in the firing

Condition

The charger is in good condition, with only expected glaze firing imperfections and surface wear. The colour inconsistency in the catalogue illustration is due to an area of thicker glaze to the rim.
