Description
- 18.1 and 18 cm, 7 1/8 in.
the box carved in the shape of a peach with gnarled branches extending around the sides, with wufu (five bats) in flight; the mythical beast carved with an apocryphal Feng Xilu mark; both with the patina of a warm brown colour

Condition
The mythical beast: there are repairs to three of the four legs at the joints with traces of old glue. There are age cracks to the side and top, and occasional expected nicks or pitting to the surface. But overall the beast is in good condition. The box: there are expected surface wear and occasional chips to the openwork carving, including the tips of some leaves and branches that are missing. There are some expected age cracks and occasional nicks along the rims, as well as light scratches and wear on the underside. There are some traces of old wax and glue to the interior of box. But overall the box is in good presentation state.
