Description

  • 11.7 and 7 cm, 4 5/8  and 2 3/4  in.
the water dropper in the form of a recumbent mythical beast, the ferocious single-horned animal detailed with rounded eyes, sharp teeth and a trifurcated tail; the other beast portrayed with arched eyebrows and funnel-shaped ears, accentuated with a curved spine terminating in a bifurcated tail swept underneath its haunch

Condition

The cover of the water pot is missing. There is a polished flake to one ear (0.4cm) and another small chip to the rim (0.2cm). Some expected minute nicks to the extremities. The beast with a shallow nick to the front leg on the reverse.
