the plain oval base surmounted by a finial carved in the form of a recumbent animal, the seal face inscribed with the characters Leshantang ('Hall of Delight in Goodness')
Catalogue Note
There are six recorded seal impressions of various sizes pertaining to the same Leshantang hall in the Qianlong baosou [The Seals of the Qianlong Emperor], Beijing. However, the impression of the present lot is not recorded.
