Description

  • chests 74 by 32 by 48 cm, 29 1/8  by 12 5/8  by 18 7/8  in.calligraphy 63 cm, 24 3/4  in.
the rectangular chests decorated to the front in gilt with dragons, phoenix and auspicious emblems against a red-lacquered ground, the interior with a Fu tai lai store label; the calligraphy inscribed in black with the character fu (fortune)

Condition

The two marriage chests and the calligraphy are generally in good condition. There is some expected light wear at the corners of the chests, occasional scratches and some expected rubbing to the gilding but overall the condition is good. Please note that these two chests and calligraphy are sold 'as viewed' without reserve. They cannot be returned on the basis of their condition.
