Description

  • 86.5 by 44 by 44 cm, 34 by 17 3/8  by 17 3/8  in.
each with a square mitred top, supported on a key-fret apron and straight legs with hoofed feet, set overall on a frame base, each side decorated with spandrels carved with archaistic dragons forming angular scrolls

Catalogue Note

These two high stands are of a typical middle Qing dynasty style and construction with the floor stretcher adding reinforcement to the structure.  Their apron and waist are carved in high relief with archaistic angular 'dragon' scrolls well representative of the taste at the court from the second part of the Qianlong period and during the following reigns.
