Catalogue Note

These two high stands are of a typical middle Qing dynasty style and construction with the floor stretcher adding reinforcement to the structure.  Their apron and waist are carved in high relief with archaistic angular 'dragon' scrolls well representative of the taste at the court from the second part of the Qianlong period and during the following reigns.
