Description

  • 35 cm, 13 3/4  in.
the deep rounded sides rising from a recessed base to a flat everted rim, the interior moulded with a sinuous dragon chasing a flaming pearl, surrounded by carved and combed scrolls, the exterior with lotus petals, covered overall save for the footring in an olive-green glaze draining to white at the extremities

Condition

There is a two prongs 'T' shaped hairline crack at the rim, approx 8 by 10 cm, as visible at 8'o clock on the photo (which can clean). There is another small crackle in the glaze above the dragon head, probably original to the firing, as well as expected surface scratches. Otherwise, the dish is a good example of its type, in fair overall condition. The actual colour of the glaze is slightly paler when compared to the catalogue photo.
