Description
Comprising: a brooch of open work scroll design, set with hexagonal sapphires, enhanced with single-cut diamonds; a pair of ear clips of similar design, maker's mark for Gübelin; and a ring of bombé fluted design, set with a cabochon sapphire and circular-cut diamonds, size 52, French assay mark for 18 carat gold, total gross weight approximately 53.48 grams.
Condition
Ear clips and brooch each stamêd 750 for 18 carat gold, maker's mark for Gübelin. Brooch additionally stamped PT950 for platinum. Ring unsigned. Sapphires mid blue in brooch and ear clips, deep blue in ring, all transparent, with typical inclusions visible under magnification, some surface-reaching, some areas of minor chipping and wear to surfaces, particularly on sapphire in ring. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight in brooch and ear clips approximately 0.70 - 0.90 carats, in ring approximately 1.00 - 1.30 carats, estimated colour, estimated clarity VS - SI. Brooch fitting closing securely. Clip fittings with good tension. Light scratches to stone and metal surfaces consistent with wear. In good condition. Overall dimensions approximately 56 x 31mm (brooch), 20 x 11mm (each ear clip). Total gross weight approximately 53.48 grams.
