Description
Claw-set with a cabochon opal framed by brilliant-cut diamonds, size 481/2, (sizing band), French import marks for 18 carat gold, gross weight approximately 9.31 grams.
Condition
Stamped with French import assay mark for 18 carat gold. Opal of dark grey body colour with predominantly blue, green and yellow play of colour, measuring approximately 14.6 x 13.4 x 3.5mm. One small filled cavity on one side, possibly filled with original matrix. Some very light scratches to opal surface consistent with wear. Diamonds bright and livel, estimated total diamond weightg approximately 1.00 - 1.50 carats. Light scratches to metal consistent with wear, crack in gallery on underside. Fitted sizing band. Overall in good condition. Gross weight approximately 9.31 grams.
