Description
Composed of lapis lazuli beads, and of spherical and fluted gold beads, length approximately 1180mm, French assay mark for 18 carat gold and maker's mark, gross weight approximately 168.00 grams.
Condition
Fluted beads each with French assay mark for 18 carat gold, elongated fluted beads with additional French maker's mark G S with mistletoe, for G. Simon, 9, rue de Corderie, 75003 Paris. Smaller spherical spacers unmarked. Lapis lazuli beads approximately 9mm diameter on average, deep blue, opaque, with typical colour mottling, pyrite and calcite inclusions. Spherical fluted beads approximately 9.1mm diameter, elongated fluted beads approximately 9.4 x 9.4 x 20.7mm, smaller spherical spacers approximately 3.9mm diameter. Strung on metal wire. Clasp in good working order, closing securely. Light scratches to surfaces, some areas of wear to surfaces and discoloration to smaller metal spacers and lapis beads, particularly around drill holes. Some lapis beads with localised areas of very minor chips and pitting. Overall in good condition. Gross weight approximately 168.00 grams.
