Condition
There is a ca. 1cm wide shallow chip to the rim of the bell. The handle is broken off and reattached across one side of the dragon's feet and head and across the 2nd dragon's neck opposite. There is overall light wear to the glaze and scattered pin-point glaze imperfections.

Catalogue Note
A similar Dehua porcelain bell with a low-relief decoration under clear glaze is in the Metropolitan museum in New York (79.2.502). Another smaller one with a different underglaze mold-impressed decoration, dated mid 17th century, is kept in the Art Institute of Chicago (Lucy Maud Buckingham Collection, 1924.385).
