Condition

The painting is on paper backed by cloth mount framed by silk brocade. The painting is detached from the mount in the lower right hand corner. There are vertical splits to the paper and silk mount scattered across the painting, among them 9, 6, 14, 5 and 5cm long splits as well as several shorter ones. There are ca. 28cm long and a ca. 8cm long horizontal splits to the paper and mount across the upper part of the painting. There are horizontal and vertical fold and scattered areas of loss to the pigments, particularly to the upper middle and upper right parts of the painting. There is overall light wear to the surface and scattered small areas of retouching.
