Penso che sia illegittimo e pretenzioso voler deformare lo spazio in maniera definitiva e irreversibile, con la presunzione oltretutto di voler incidere nella realtà: si tratta nella migliore delle ipotesi di un’operazione inutile. Al massimo è lecito strutturarlo in modo da renderlo percettibile e sensorialmente fruibile; lo spazio in fondo ci interessa e ci preoccupa in quanto ci contiene. I think it is illegitimate and pretentious to deform space in a definitive and irreversible way, even more with the presumption of willing to influence the present; in the best of ways that would be a useless operation. At the most it would be right to structure it in a way that is perceivable and can be fully enjoyed; after all, we are interested and at the same time worried, about space because it contains us.
