The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals spots of retouching towards the lower and right edges. There are two additinnal spots of retouching (the larger of which is approx. 4 cm wide) to the lower left quadrant in the orange pigment, another smaller spot of retouching (approx. 1 cm wide) to the lower right quadrant and a few further smaller dots of retouching in places, most predominately to the darker pigment in the fruits and along the upper and left edges. There is some minor paint shrinkage and two dots of paint losses in the green pigment to the extreme left melon. There are a few thin lines of stable craquelure in places, notably to the yellow pigment. This work is in overall good condition.
