Condition

It has not been possible to see the work entirely unframed. The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals lines and spots of retouching scattered in the sky and along the extreme edges, and additional small lines (the longest of which is approx. 6 cm long) and dots of retouching in places in the landscape. There are some thin lines of stable craquelure in places, notably visible in the sky. There are a few minor flecks of paint losses in places, notably to the upper left quadrant in the sky and to the lower right quadrant (approx. 19 cm from right edge and 12 cm from lower edge). There is some slight frame rubbing along the extreme edges. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
