- Conceived circa 1890-91, this work cast in bronze circa 1910.
Condition
The bronze is sound with a rich black patina. Some light wear to the patina consistent with age and handling, in particular under the rock on which the figures are seated and to the top of the female figure's head. There is a light build up of dust in the crevices. There are a couple of minor surface nicks in places, barely visible to the naked eye. This work is in overall very good condition.
