Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the printed catalogue illustration although the overall tonality is lighter in the original work. The work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals evidence of rubbing to the extreme edges. Further very close inspection reveals very thin hairline cracks to the grey paint, most notably toward the lower left quadrant and the upper left corner. Further close very inspection reveals an unobtrusive buckling to the canvas located to the lower right quadrant. Extremely close inspection reveals a thin network of cracks located 25 cm from the lower edge and 20 cm from the right edge. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals two spot of in-painting locates towards the center of the upper edge and to the lower right corner.
