Description

  • Height 55 cm.
from the right end of the front panel of a strigillated sarcophagus, the young god leaning on a downturned torch and holding a wreath in his right hand; repaired.

Condition

Slab broken and repaired from two fragments across feet and lower part of torch with painted fill along the breakline. Scratches on background between proper right leg and torch. Areas of incrustation, especially underneath chin, proper left arm, proper left wing, wreath, and pubic area. Original polish mostly preserved. Nicks and abrasions overall.
