The bronze surfaces throughout present with scattered minor surface scratches and abrasions consistent with age and gentle handling. The bronze with some occasional minor surface irregularities inherent in the making and not visually detractive, including one small casting flaw measuring approximately 1/2 inch high just above the three ring decoration above the foot. The gilding appears original and presents with some light wear consistent with age and has darkened slightly throughout with time. The gilding presents with a warm golden hue with subtle red undertones as seen in the catalogue illustration. The base with occasional minor discolorations throughout, including a few minute traces of white house paint to the foot. The bronze with some scattered instances of accretion and surface soiling to the recessed portions of the design, only visible upon close inspection. The shade is possibly original and is in very good condition with minor scattered discolorations throughout, and with some subtle discoloration along the vertical seam likely due to adhesive. The shade with some extremely minor tears throughout, which could be stabilized if desired. The upper edge of the shade with some small tears, minor associated lifting, and small paper losses, not visually detractive. The shade with some gentle surface undulation likely resulting from its woven construction. The glass diffuser with a few minute flecks around the bottom edge.
