Condition

Overall very good condition. The authenticity of this work has been confirmed by the Comité Giacometti and it is recorded in the Alberto Giacometti database under number AGD4035; the lamp was additionally impressed AG 01 by the Comité at the time of its authentication. The bronze surfaces throughout present with scattered minor surface scratches and abrasions consistent with age and gentle handling. The bronze with some occasional minor surface irregularities inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The gilding appears original and is in very good condition with some scattered minor discolorations, including several horizontal discolorations on one side of the vase. The shade is possibly original and is in very good condition with minor scattered discolorations and minor areas of creasing throughout. The shade with some extremely minor tears to the upper and lower edges with associated minor lifting.
