Condition
Condition:
This work is in good condition. Some pronounced craquelure across the upper section of the painting, in line with the age of the work. Two horizontal canvas irregularities are present adjacent to the top edge, due to the stretcher touching the canvas. One pinhole sized dent to the upper right corner of the work. Some signs of retouching are visible under UV light, mostly to the background. The canvas could benefit from being re-stretched.
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, with the hues being softer in the original painting.
