Condition

Condition: (i) This work is in good condition. There are natural medium creases mainly around the centre inherent of the artist's working process and his choice of medium. There is some staining on lower left edge and towards the centre edge. There is no restoration apparent when viewed under the UV light. (ii) This work is in very good condition. There is no restoration apparent when viewed under the UV light. (iii) This work is in good condition. There is a repaired loss to the paper on top right corner. There is no restoration apparent when viewed under the UV light. (iv) This work is in very good condition.There is no restoration apparent when viewed under the UV light. (v) This work is in good condition. There are three small stable tears on bottom right edge and two on centre left edge. There is some light creasing on centre right to centre and very minor paper undulations due to the artist's choice of medium and inherent of the artist's working process. There is no restoration apparent when viewed under the UV light. Colour: (i) The catalogue illustration is very accurate, but the red tends more towards a more subtle, deeper orange red in the original work. (ii) The catalogue illustration is very accurate but the bright white-green tonalities on the dresses tend more towards a deeper nile green in the original work. (iii) The catalogue illustration is very accurate but the bright white-green tonalities on the dresses tend more towards a deeper nile green in the original work. (iv) The catalogue illustration is fairly accurate as the colours overall seem faded in the catalogue image. The overall tonality is stronger, deeper and more uniform throughout the image in the original work. The bright white-green tonalities on the dresses tend more towards a deeper nile green in the original work. (v) The catalogue illustration is accurate; however the light grey on the background tends towards a deeper, denser grey in the original work.
