Condition

The canvas has been lined. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals some minor scattered spots of retouching in the beach in the centre of the composition, possibly addressing old flaking, and areas of fluorescence are visible along the four edges. However, these appear to be associated with selective cleaning in the past rather than retouching. Overall, this work is in good condition and is ready to hang. Presented in a simple wooden frame.
