The canvas has not been lined. There is a thin sheet of cardboard on the reverse, thus preventing full inspection of the back. There are some pin-head sized spots of paint flaking in the right hand side of the composition, notably in the blue background towards the centre of the upper framing edge and in the blue jug. Some of these are clearly visible in the catalogue illustration. There is some scattered frame rubbing, with some isolated small spots of paint loss, along the four extreme framing edges, mostly covered by the frame. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals some small spots of retouching in and around the aforementioned paint flaking closer to the centre of the upper framing edge. Other minor, isolated spots of cosmetic retouching are also visible along the extreme right framing edge. Otherwise, this works is in good overall condition and is ready to hang.
